The world is currently going through one of the the most challenging times of the 21st century. The novel coronavirus, commonly known as Covid-19, has put the world on a halt and outside movement dropped down to bare minimum. The number of face to face interactions have reduced drastically and while some people do not mind this, there are a bunch of people who thrive on social interactions. In this time, almost everything in our professional life has been moved online. This has had a varied affect on people.

Some people have been able to adjust to the new normal but at the same time, some people may not have adjusted. Mental Health is making a larger and larger name in our current generation. At this time of difficulty, certain people are able to adapt and make the best of the situation.

Now, I'd like to talk about this very aspect, 'making the best of the situation'. This phrase has varied implications to different people. To certain people just surviving through this time is making the best of it, whereas to someone else, it can mean improving their skillset both personal and professional. The current ideology is that the harder you work, the better you do at life. While that is true, a lot of people tend to try and do more than they should without considering their own mental health.

The ideal style of working would be to harmonize the two styles of working hard and working smart to create a suitable work-life balance. But that is merely idealistic, the idea is to try and find a balance that is ideal for every individual. This has to be decided by the individual themselves and no outside person should have an influence on this decision. We all need to do the best that we can do and we should know that in a time where everyone is trying just to survive, we shouldn't put down others just based on their accomplishments in this difficult time.

This blog is to basically share a positive thought and congratulate everyone who have managed to survive through such difficult conditions, take a step back and see what all you have overcome. For the people who have not been able, if you feel like it, I'd suggest doing yoga, picking up a new hobby you like and you have been putting off, maybe do a few online classes, now that they're quite cheap. I for one have picked up blogging, did a few online classes related to my profession and created this website. If you feel like that is not something you are upto, that is also completely fine! Just stay safe, social distance, avoid public spaces as much as possible and ride out the storm because better days are coming. There is light at the end of the tunnel! Stay strong and stay positive as much as you can!

Use that as confidence to keep moving forward because as long as you keep moving forward, you are slightly better than yourself from the day before.

The last thing I'd like to let you know is, Kindly talk to someone who you know cares about you. They may not be able to completely understand what you are going through but they will lend an open ear and sometimes that is all that you need.
