Spill The T Podcast

I know at this point you must be thinking, Oh my god this guy has a podcast as well? Well I do. If you get to interact with any of my friends, they will all tell you how much I love talking and how they don't really have the time to quench my thirst for a good conversation. Et voila, I decided to start a podcast that dives into people's professions and interests. It's the most professional way to have interesting hour long conversations with important people.

EPISODE 1

This first “Spill the T” episode is a long-form conversation with Alankrita Amarnath, an architect who studied Urban Design at UCL and now works in London, about the realities of doing a master’s in architecture-related fields abroad. They discuss common misconceptions about masters (especially going abroad just for the sake of it), how she discovered her interest in urban design, how she chose UCL over other options like TU Delft and Politecnico di Milano, the importance of clarity and honesty in applications and statements of purpose, the financial and emotional stress of studying overseas during the pandemic, and how masters, work, and personal goals reshaped her design methodology and long-term plans.

EPIDODE 2

This podcast episode, “The Social Media Transition,” is a conversation with Suraj Devaraj, an architect-turned-content-creator, about how Suraj moved from architectural practice into making infotainment videos on Instagram and YouTube. They discuss his journey into content creation, how specific creators inspired him, the realities of virality and retention graphs, the importance of editing and storytelling in short-form video, the role of AI tools in speeding up podcast and video workflows, and the pressures and rewards of building a team and a sustainable creative career online.

EPIDODE 3

This podcast episode, “Craft, Care, and Inclusive Design,” is a conversation about what it means to design with intention, empathy, and responsibility in today’s digital products and experiences. It explores how craft shows up in the details of UI and interaction design, how care shapes research, collaboration, and decision-making, and why inclusive design is essential rather than optional in modern practice. The episode also touches on designing for diverse users and contexts, balancing constraints with creativity, and the ongoing work of building products that are not only usable, but genuinely respectful and welcoming to the people they serve.

EPIDODE 4
EPIDODE 5

This podcast episode, “Brands, Systems, and Students,” is a conversation about how design education, branding, and systems thinking intersect in contemporary creative practice. It explores how brand identity extends beyond logos into behaviors and experiences, how systems shape both the classroom and professional workflows, and how students learn to navigate these complex layers in real projects. The episode also touches on mentoring emerging designers, preparing students for industry realities, and building bridges between academic exploration and the structured demands of client-driven work.

Episode 5 of Spill the T is a conversation with Guruprasad “Guru” Sowle about what it really looks like to bridge business, public policy, and purpose over the long haul of a career. I sit down with Guru, a chartered accountant, global advisor, and host of the Light to Lighten podcast, to unpack his journey from Fortune 500 boardrooms to impact-driven initiatives that span continents. We talk about identity, public speaking, navigating fear in high-stakes rooms, and the mindset shifts that helped him move from hierarchy and titles to collaboration and service. If you are curious about designing a purpose-led path at the intersection of strategy, policy, and social impact, this episode offers grounded stories, hard-earned lessons, and a reminder to think big.

EPIDODE 6
EPIDODE 7

Episode 6 of Spill the T brings together me and genre-bending music producer Ox7gen for a deep-dive into the realities of building a creative career today. I guide the conversation from his early experiments in sound design and drumming to how he found his voice in electronic music and live performance, unpacking the messy middle between passion and sustainability along the way. Together, we talk honestly about imposter syndrome, creative burnout, and the pressure to stay visible online, while still protecting the joy of making art. Whether you are a designer, musician, or creator of any kind, this episode is a candid look at collaboration, community, and what it really takes to keep showing up for your craft.

Episode 7 of Spill the T is a behind-the-scenes look at how design education actually gets made, featuring my conversation with Kassidy Breaux, Assistant Teaching Professor in Graphic Information Technology at ASU. I sit down with Kassidy to talk about building studios, scaffolding projects, and balancing experimentation with real-world constraints so students can leave with both a portfolio and a point of view. We dig into what it means to teach visual design, UX, and emerging tech in a rapidly shifting industry, from AI tools and industry partnerships to the soft skills students need but rarely see on a syllabus. If you are a student, educator, or anyone curious about how classrooms connect (or don’t) to the creative industries, this episode offers an honest, practical window into the systems, strategy, and care behind the work.

Congrats, you made it to the end! If you’re craving more excitement, just scroll your way back to the top and try a different page because this one is officially out of content.
