-

-
Built-Up Area: 570 sqm

Role & Responsibilities
As the design lead for Sammith and Sneha Residence, my responsibilities included:
-
Elevation Design: Developed creative and technical elevation proposals that visually represent the client’s identity—integrating subtle cues that blend professionalism (office) and domestic warmth.
-
Consultant Coordination: Liaised between clients, engineers, and specialty consultants to resolve design, technical, and regulatory challenges.
-
Design Development & Working Drawings: Produced development-phase drawings, working sheets, and finalized construction documentation, including electrical layouts and sectional details, ensuring client expectations and compliance standards were met.
-
3D Visualization: Created exploded views, 3D sectional renders, and interior models to drive decision-making, spatial programming, and client engagement.
-
Space Programming: Worked closely with the clients (a lawyer couple) to integrate professional and personal spaces—balancing privacy, workflow, and domestic needs, especially around the ground-floor office, meeting area, and residential zones above.

Spatial User Experience Strategy
-
Zoning & Circulation: Ground floor programmed for a highly functional law office and consultation space. Clear spatial separation and secure transitions to private residential zones above, supporting both client privacy and family living.
-
Office Integration: Entryway and waiting/lounge areas were designed for efficient, dignified client interaction. Acoustic and visual privacy measures allowed uninterrupted professional activity while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
-
Residential Layering: Upper floors feature bedrooms, living areas, and family spaces with optimized daylight, ventilation, and privacy. Sectional planning supports both gathering and retreat, tailored to the couple’s lifestyle.
-
Materiality & Detailing: Façade and interiors employ regionally suitable materials, custom lighting, and tactile detail to create distinction while tying the office and residential experiences together.
-
Accessibility & Flexibility: Universal access and flexible workspace conversion designed to adapt to future changes in family or business needs.

Key Technical Features
-
Elevation & Identity: Developed a refined elevation articulating the clients’ professional stature and desire for a modern, inviting home.
-
Electrical & Sectional Detailing: Mapped all electrical systems, coordinated lighting, and designed sectional elements for efficient, safe, and comfortable living and working experiences.
-
Visualization & Working Sheets: Used advanced visualization techniques (3D sections, exploded views) for design review and technical presentations, along with precise working sheets for implementation.
Reflection & Impact
The No. 64 Residence showcases my ability to fuse architectural design with spatial UX thinking—creating user-centric environments for working and living within a compact urban footprint. Project management, technical sheet production, and strong consultant coordination ensured seamless delivery and owner satisfaction, while the 3D design process heightened engagement and clarity at every stage.
